LE cadeau de Noël / THE gift of Christmas
Noël c'est l'histoire d'UN merveilleux cadeau que j'aimerais tant partager avec tous. Ce serait alors mon plus merveilleux Noël.
Christmas is the story of A wonderful gift, that so much I would like to share with everbody. Then it would be the most wonderful Christmas.
Certes tant de cadeaux s'échangent ces jours-ci. Alors de quel cadeau s'agit-il?
J'en ai déjà beaucoup reçus et j'en aussi déjà donné quelques uns.
Obviously so many gifts are exchanged these days. So about which gift am I writing?
I already received many, and I gave a few.
Voici celui reçu aujourd'hui de VITANY, qui en cachait d'autres à l'intérieur, et même une bougie parfumée à l'odeur de la forêt vierge! de plus me voici devenue, sans le vouloir, une nouvelle collectionneuse. Car cet "avant Noël" m'a comblée de plusieurs anges les plus différents les uns des autres et qui finissent pas faire une magnifique et tendre collection.
For instance here is the gift I received from VITANY today.Several other gifts were hidden in the box, among which a candle with the rain forest fragrance! And now I'm becoming a new collector, because all these "before Christmas" gifts provided me with several all different new angels. What a sweet new collection!
Il y a aussi eu ce matin le geste d'amitié d'HELENE qui a fait de ses mains une superbe broderie du mot NOEL à partir d'un alphabet illustré, et des orangettes qui sont si succulentes qu'il faut que je me fasse violence pour en garder jusqu'à la veillée de Noël.Et que dire du fil brillant appelé par DMC "fil lumière"?
Here are the handmade tokens of friendship sent by HELENE. She cross stitched for me the word NOEL with an illustrated alphabet, and she added slices of candied orange peel covered with chocolate that she made herself. They are so good that it's difficult to keep them till Christmas Eve. There even was a skein of 'light thread".
Tous ces cadeaux réchauffent le coeur, car l'amour et l'amitié sont la lumière de nos vies. Pourtant un jour dans ma vie j'ai découvert un cadeau beaucoup plus extraordinaire, et c'était un geste d'amour fou. Le Roi des rois, le Créateur de l'univers, me proposait d'entrer dans Sa famille en m'offrant Son Fils comme frère la nuit du premier Noël.
Il y a eu des Noëls plus ou moins difficiles dans ma vie, mais jamais ce cadeau divin n'a disparu. Car Dieu me garde comme Son enfant aussi surement que mes propres enfants adoptés seront à jamais mes enfants quoi qu'il arrive. Je ne comprends pas bien pourquoi tant de gens refusent ce cadeau, alors qu'ils se réjouissent de tous les autres. Mais c'est peut-être justement pour qu'ils entendent parler une fois encore du cadeau de leur Père du ciel, qu'on fête Noël chaque année. CAr Dieu a tellement aimé ce monde qu'il a donné Son Fils aux hommes. Joyeux Noël à vous!
All these gifts are so heart warming, because love and friendship is the light of our lives. Yet one day in my life I discovered a more incredible gift which was a proof of love too. The King of kings, the Creator of the universe, was inviting me to be part of His family when he was giving me His Son as my brother, in the night of the first Christmas.
There were years in my life when Christmas was more of less happy or difficult. But never this heavenly gift was absent. Because God keeps me in His family as surely as our own adopted children will be part of our family whatever may happen. I don't understand very well why so many people refuse this gift, when they are so glad with all other gifts. But maybe we celebrate Christmas year after year just so that they hear the gift of their heavenly Father once more. because God loved this world so much, that He gave His Son to men.
