Mes ornements de Noël 2007 / My Christmas ornaments for 2007

Voici les décors de Noël que j'ai commencé à broder dès la fin octobre, prévoyant une hospitalisation pour les fêtes (reportée à présent en janvier). Le calme d'une vie de malade m'a permis d'en réaliser 50, en souhaitant qu'ils restent un souvenir pour la famille et les amis. Vu le nombre vous comprendrez que j'ai été prise d'une vraie passion pour les modèles de Pamela Bird Smith, diffusés par Prairie Schooler sur 2 fiches différentes : Starry Night pour les motifs de la Nativité, et Blackwork Angels pour les anges.

J'ai opté pour 3 présentations différentes :

* à suspendre à l'aide de petits rubans

* monté sur des baguettes pour piquer dans des arrangements floraux ou de la mousse oasis

* avec une languette à l'arrière pour faire tenir sur une table. Cette présentation convient particulièrement pour présenter toutes les scènes de la Nativité ensemble.

You can see the Christmas ornaments I made for 2007. As I thought to be  at hospital for Christmas (now the surgery has been postponed to Jan 16 2008) I began them as soon as the end of october. This was easy with my lazy quiet life as an ill person. I cross stitched 50 ones of them, hoping that they'll  be good memories for the future for my family and friends.

Owing to the great number of times that I repeated the designs, you understand that I really fell in love with Pamela Bird Smith's designs published by The Prairie Schooler. The Nativity designs are in the book Starry Night, and the angels in Blackwork Angels.  

I used 3 various ways to display them ;

* to hang them with little ribbons

* to glue them on a wooden stick to be able to put them into a flower pot or into a cake mould full of sand....

* to have them standing on a table like a table calendar. This presentation fits very well the total Nativity pictures displayed together.
